Excellent triple case pocket watch for ottoman market by George Prior. The outer and inner case are made of silver. Outer case is decorated with engraving in oriental style. The middle case has some silver parts and some brass and is covered by tortoiseshell. Good quality verge fusee movement is signed by Geo Prior and is numbered. Cock is probably decorated with monogram gk? Movement is in good running condition, it runs in all positions, though I don’t guarantee time keeping. Dial seems to be free from defects. Original beetle & poker hands, mineral glass. The cases are as shown – losses of tortoiseshell. The closing springs was repaired, they are loose, but works. The watch is quite big – outer case measures 57mm wide and 62mm high, thickness is 29mm. Overall weight is 150 grams. He received two awards from Society of Arts.
