Up for sale is this gorgeous antique. Elgin National Watch Co hunter case pocket watch. Case made of coin silver by Dueber. Marked on all three covers: dial and two movement covers. Case number is 207978, movement number – 3448252 which is according to archive – 1889. Movement is seven (7) jewels size 18. Runs great, probably needs some adjustment. There is a tiny almost invisible hairline crack on the face enamel at hour 7. And tiny little chip between hour 6 and 7 marks. Remnants of engraving on front (no mono) and back. Diameter of the watch without winding tart – 58mm. Diameter of the face is 46mm. Total weight – 167.8 grams! Pendant Wind, Lever Set. Elgin National Watch Co. 6s, grade 216, model 2 pocket watch in very good condition. Serial number 10341430 dates this pocket watch to 1904. Watch case shows little signs of wear some light scratches. It has a beautiful engraved design on front and back covers. The edges of the front and rear covers have beautiful detail design. A name is inscribed on the inside rear cuvette. Crystal and dial are in very good condition there is a hairline crack that radiates from the lX across lower part of the dial to V. This pocket watch winds, sets and runs with no issues it keeps accurate time. The balance wheel has a brisk motion. It may require cleaning, oiling and adjusting to maintain it as an accurate time piece. The 15 jewel movement has beautiful etched designs on the nickel finished plates.
