A very interesting and most important leather outer case in great condition. Gilt pair case watch. Verge, fusee movement tulip pillars. With a great silver key with stone set in it. T he has leather covered on the back and front bezel with a very good colour, all the pins are in place on the back and front. (my photographs do not do it justice). Size of the outer leather case is 55 m. M, with a very nice clean watchmakers paper so nice to have and rounds this fine watch off. Clip may need adjusting. The size of the pinchbeck gilt case with then watch is 45 m. In very nice condition, and so very nice to see how well this watch was looked after as the stem has never had to be repaired and still turns. Are very fine beetle and poker hands that look original. DIAL white enamel is fine condition, note mark at 30 is the clip to lift the movement. The glass is very high domed bull nose mineral with a small chip on the side at 9. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well with a variation of C 2-3 minuets per hour. With a very fine engraved back plate with a decorated and engraved broad balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator. Signed on the back plate. With magnificent Tulip pillars. Gilt brass cases, 79 mm. Verge, quarter repeating movement. A Swiss quarter repeater, in a very large and unusual oval hunter case. MOVEMENT : Gilded movement with small silver regulator disk, and beautifully pierced and engraved balance bridge with polished steel coquerette. All in good condition. Running well and repeating correctly, striking on two blued steel gongs. DIAL : White enamel dial, in quite good condition. One hairline running through the centre from 3 to 9, chips around the winding aperture and a few scratches. Blued steel Breguet type hands. CASE : A very large, oval, gilt brass half hunter case. The movement is accessed by an inner cover to the back, so it is wound (and hands set) through two small holes in the crystal. However the crystal is acrylic and the front of the inner case would originally of opened to access, so this a later modification. Originally the dial would have had an undrilled mineral crystal and the inner front cover would have lifted to access the dial for winding and setting.
