The London English Fusee Pocket Watch with Sterling Case is a beautifully crafted timepiece with a size 16 R. Wright & Co movement. Made in the United Kingdom, this pocket watch features a mechanical (manual) movement and a sterling case, adding a touch of elegance to any outfit. The British Hallmark on the case is a Running Lion which indicates its made of Sterling Silver, the anchor mark indicates Birmingham manufacture location. The hallmark for the age is hard to decipher. I have pics of both the inside of the inner snap back case which holds the movement and the inside back of the outer case. View my last pic – its a closeup of the marks on the outer case. I posted pics to a Pocket Watch Facebook Group and one of the members suggested that its a C with two Vertical Bars through the middle – which would date it to 1826. Regardless it most likely dates to the 1820s – 1840s or there about time frame. The letter J H indicates the case maker – who I believe stands for Joseph Harris – Case Maker – The Butts, Coventry. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS ITEM WILL REQUIRE SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION TO BE ACCEPTED BY THE CARRIER. The diameter of the outer case measures approx 58mm or 2-1/4. The dial face is excellent albeit the minute hand is missing. The case is in real nice condition – natural toning / tarnish as you can see. The serial number stamped on the movement is No. The movement is wound with a key and the hands are set with a separate key as the square on the stem for adjustment is larger than the size for winding the movement. The keys that I used are not included in the sale. The watch is NON FUNCTIONAL – Please read the condition report as I have provided some details. The good thing is that the balance wheel spin freely and when I spin it – it spins freely. As noted the hour hand is absent. The hands are set with a key but I want to noted that the size of the square on the front cannon pinion is larger than the winding arbor on the back. The square appears worn. View the pics to assess. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. Hello, this listing is for an awesome and Rare. 829 Pair Case Sterling Chain Drive Fusee Verge Pocket Watch by Bullingford, London #3454. There is a similar one in the Museums Victoria Collections. This is offered for restoration – Item currently not running-Chain intact and fully wound around the Fusee. Balance appears to be okay- needs restoration – cleaning servicing etc. This Men’s watch measures approx. 56.5mm across the outer case. This is the way I received it outer case and all. Outer case is a bit loose on the inner case but looks and works fine. Outer case is unmarked and has dents and dings. Inner case has some dings but much better. Very high original Bulls Eye crystal in nice condition with some scratches as shown. Case hallmarked Birmingham 1829-see pictures. Round turned columns on the movement. Great find for the restored! Dial is very nice – original Gold color or possibly low karat Gold hands. Antique watch winding key included but not pictured. Total weight is approx. Really a great find. Mourier Geneve Fusee Pocket Watch w/ Past & Gilt Enamel Case. I’m pleased to offer this extraordinary piece of 18th century workmanship. This fusee pocket watch by Mourier of Geneve features an elaborate, enamel romance scene on the back of the case. Additionally, the case is set with approximately 140 rose-cut paste stones (a handful are missing). Dates to the late 1700s. Mourier made many beautiful watches which are held in museum collections & have been auctions by the likes of Christies and Bonhams. The hairspring swings freely (I do not see the fusee chain). Measures 49.5mm in diameter. Weight: 87.5 grams. Watch is non-running & is missing a crystal. Several paste stones are missing. Minor enamel loss around the edges of the artwork.
