Very nice Elgin 18-size with clean nickel plates, running condition. Running does not mean keeps perfect time. Assume it will need a cleaning or adjustment although it is running strongly with good balance amplitude. Case is gold-filled, no brass is showing. Lids snap tightly closed with no bowing. Could use a buffing. Inside front cover has a very light discoloration that looks like someone may have tested for gold. Look at photos closely. Minute and second hand is gold, second hand is not.
