The watch has square pillars and a verge escapement. The London hallmark is for 1772. The watch was made by Thomas Davies who was working in Monmouth Wales from the 1770s to the 1790s. Then the watch was retailed by John Harrit and assayed in London. The watch is in working order but I havent tested fully for timekeeping so I cant guarantee that. Antique 1758 Georgian 18th Century Verge Fusee Pair Cased Cased Pocket Watch. This pocket watch is not actually verge but a leaver watch. It was made in 1758 by Thomas Ore of Wolverhampton who was working until 1779. The watch has square pillars and a lovely engraved movement. The cases are original to the best of my knowledge they fit so well I dont see how they could be anything else. The inner case is made of silver guilt and is hallmarked for London 1758. There are some condition issues as can be seen in the photos but its still a nice looking watch. The watch movement is for spears or repair. The balance wheel appears to be later and is not swinging.
