Vintage Arnex Swiss pocket watch, a 5 minute repeater, rich yellow gold plated hunter case with traditional leafy & floral engraved decoration & cartouche on the front, with winding stem at 3 o’clock, the repeater button on the side, the case measuring 57mm or 2-1/4″ in diameter overall, comes in original hinged box, also with a slip of blue paper “Facts About Your Arnex 5-Minute Repeater”, and an “Instruction Booklet which is basically a folded piece of paper with general pocket watch info, the dial says: Arnex, Repetition, Swiss Made, featuring Roman numerals, and Arabic numerals around the border, with filigree hands, the movement is marked Arnex Time Co. 17 Jewels, Unadjusted, Swiss, the inside of the back cover is marked ARNEX Base Metal Code 178, see close up photos, circa 1960s – 70s, a handsome & impressive timepiece, good condition, just light wear on the side indentation of the back cover from prying off, from a local estate.
