For sale is this beautiful near mint17 jewel Vacheron+Constantin full hunter pocket watch in a heavy 25 year 14ct gold filled case by J. Boss Keystone Watch Case Co. This Rare watch was made for and retailed by the Wetteroth Jewelery Co of St Joseph Mo. It has their name on the dial and movement. The watch is in excellent condition and in perfect working order, it winds by the crown and is lever set. The movement is also signed Vacheron Constantin Geneve with number 343209. Excellent full Arabic numeral enamel dial with seconds subsidiary dial, and has five minute marker numbers above the hours. Lovely set of blue steel Breguet moon hands. Superb gold filled full hunter case by J Boss Keystone Watch Co guaranteed 25 years. The diameter size is 51mm and 69mm if you include the bow. The hinges and covers are strong and true not showing any wear. The case condition is excellent throughout, a few minor marks in keeping with age. Superb, Gentleman’s original Swiss Omega, high grade 15 jewel pocket watch with very unusual poker cards/gambling dial and a highly polished 14 carat (tested) gold filled (known in the UK as rolled gold) original Omega case. Full working order and is an excellent timekeeper (within +2/-2 minute per 24 hours) with plenty of room on the regulator (which is sat correctly in the central position) for any further fine tuning. Fully checked by my highly experienced watchmaker and is guaranteed to be 100% authentic – a timepiece to grace any collection! Impressive and distinctive, high gloss, black dial (probably after-market) in mint condition – absolutely no hairlines, marks or nibbles. Depicts different suits of playing cards with the red Ace being number one following round to the King representing number 12. Red Arabic numbers forming the outer chapter ring (13 – 24). Large black sub dial with white Arabic numbers and white seconds chapters. This is signed clearly just above centre in white script; OMEGA. Finely cut, original bright blued steel, spade and whip hands which have red tips and red seconds hand all in straight, un-marked order. Original thick, slightly domed glass (not acrylic) in clear and bright condition showing just an absolute few, very tiny (micro) surface scratches under eyeglass only commensurate with age. The highly polished/extremely ornate (5.3cm diameter /7.4cm from top of bow to base), 14 carat (tested) gold filled, original Omega case is heavy (has a pleasing solid feel in the hand and total watch weight is a very respectable 111.8 grams), robust and in wonderful condition – absolutely no indentations, very tiny bit of wear showing under eyeglass to front and back of stem only and just overall extremely light and fine little micro surface scratches (usually caused by carrying the watch in a pocket with loose coins and other heavy objects jangling around) commensurate with age and use in her 90+ years service. All covers (both inside and out) still retain their original, high gloss, mirror finish. The back cover and dust cover are also hinged at 6, both open correctly to exactly 90 degrees, again closing tightly and all three large hinges are true and firm with absolutely no play. The back cover carries a slightly worn (pocket wear) engine turned decoration with a large, raised, un-engraved shield shaped cartouche to centre. Clearly stamped to the inside within a fancy circular shaped cartouche; OMEGA with their horseshoe trade symbol to centre and is numbered; J 3586821 16. The dust cover is beautifully and clearly stamped; OMEGA GRAND PRIX PARIS 1900 and carries five medal awards to centre. The inside of the dust cover carries very attractive’rising sun’ engine turned decoration and is again n. Umbered; J 3586821 16. The Swiss, stem wound and set, high grade 15 ruby jewelled, 3/4 fire gilt plate, Omega lever movement is in absolutely superb order and has just been checked by my highly experienced watch maker. Has a compensated bi-metal balance wheel (did not want to stop for the camera showing the balance spring is in perfect beat) with brass balance screws and four red gold meantime screws (for precision timing), original bright blued steel overcoil balance spring which is true and’in the round’, large ruby jewels in sunken chaton settings, ruby end stone in a red gold, screwed in chaton setting, heavily engraved balance cock, micro whip regulator (which as mentioned earlier is sat correctly in the central position) and original highly polished steel case screws. Stamped clearly on the top plate in bold, fancy arched script; OMEGA. Balance action is absolutely tremendous in all positions (could not be any better) and is keeping excellent time with a sure, strong positive action. Winds extremely smoothly and fully do not be afraid to fully wind, over-winding is the greatest horological myth! Hand set operates smoothly and correctly – the pull up/push down action is very firm and true. Lovely gold filled, original, totally un-worn large’pumpkin’ crown. Original, firm, totally un-worn gold filled horseshoe shaped bow. A very handsome and highly impressive Gentleman’s Swiss Omega timepiece which was much loved and proudly worn and has been a loyal servant all of her 90+ years – she will make a perfect gift and a heirloom to be enjoyed by your future generations! Fine and rare, 14CT Gold Waltham Hunter Cased Pocket Watch, complete with the original presentation case/box. This watch is an excellent example, in superb condition and very good working order. The fancy, decoratively engraved, heavy, 14 carat solid gold hunter case is in excellent condition. It is stamped with the case maker’s name Dubois W. Co” for the Dubois Watch Case Company and also stamped “14K U. Assay for 14 carat solid gold. The Dubois Watch Case company, a maker of high grade watch cases was established in 1887. It specialised in the manufacture of expensive, highly ornate watch cases. The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o’clock. It is signed by the maker “Waltham”. The good quality, high grade, 15 Jewels, Waltham movement is in excellent working order.
