For your consideration is this absolutely beautiful 1897 Elgin 16S, 17J, Adjusted, Temp, and Iso Grade 155, Model 6, Class 32 Full Hunter Cased RAILROAD Pocket Watch. Even though it is pendant set, and Hunter Cased, AT THE TIME OF IT’S PRODUCTION IT WAS RAILROAD GRADE. This Model 6 had a run of only 1,000 movements, and total production of ONLY 6,000 MOVEMENTS. This just fully serviced (January 2018), excellent damaskeened nickel movement also has screw in Gold Jewel Settings, Gold Center Wheel, Gold Train and is Pendant Set and Wind. It not only runs and keeps time, it keeps excellent time. This 121 year old movement sets time, and winds easily just as it should. All 3 hands are excellent. They are nicely blued with no rust or corrosion. Elgin was one of the Premier American Railroad Pocket Watch Manufacturers. American Manufacturers made the finest Pocket Watches in the world. Now the home this wonderful movement lives in. It is a 14K Gold Filled Incredible Full Hunter Keystone J Boss Extra Case. This case is ornate, and beautiful, and shows little to no wear. I see only a few minor dings, dimples, and one small nick in the side of the case. You will see these in pictures. The spring loaded front, and back covers work just as they should. The neck, crown, and bow are also excellent. The bow is straight, tight, and shows little to no wear. The crown shows little wear. There is no brassing anywhere on the case, case back, bezel, neck, bow, or crown. It has no monogram. Well, there you have it. I have been a collector for over 30+ years. I strive for absolute accuracy to the best of my knowledge in my listings via descriptive text, and multiple clear pictures. I do not want the new owner to receive any unexpected surprises. Stunning antique/vintage Goliath pocket watch in brass car case, mounted on a wooden support. Stunning chrome cased Goliath pocket watch set out in Arabic numerals with subsidiary second dial. The dial reads S. SMITH & SONS LTD 9. STRAND LONDON W and within the subsidiary dial has the codes 225 and 8138. The pocket watch then sits inside a brass case designed for cars which is twisted and pulled to open and allow the pocket watch to be sat inside the purple felt lined case. The whole case is currently mounted on a lovely gothic style wooden base. The pocket watch itself measures approximately 6.5cm in diameter, the brass case measures approximately 8.5cm in diameter, and on the wooden stand it measures approximately 17cm tall. Stunning 16 Size Waltham Model 1908 in a crisp 14K Solid Gold Case circa 1918 #25 The double sunk porcelain dial overall looks great, showing just one faint hairlines between 11 and 12, and one extremely small chip around the hand hole. Slim spade style blued steel hands look very good, with a small amount of oxidation on the minute and seconds hands. Acrylic crystal looks good, with one or two small glue spots. The magnificent case shows subtle wear, maintaining all of the detail in the engine turning, and coin edge. Cover pops open quickly, just beyond 90° for the front cover and 90° for the back cover. Front cover has been personalized with the initials JCB. Stem wound and stem set. This watch is running and keeping great time. Stunning Beautiful condition Rare 1788 English made by J. Stanton of London Serial no. 3535 Silver pair cased verge fusee. Gleaming Solid sterling silver matching pair case is Silver hall marked (n) 1788 of London assay. Beautiful condition white colored porcelain dial with nice Bold Black Roman numerals and sharp clean 5 minuet chapter ring. The dial has a few very light spider lines and some surface scratches. Extremely unique Rare perfect condition original solid Gold sun burst style hands. Outstanding near spotless high domed crystal. All case covers open, close and fit perfect together with nice and tight hinges. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. Balance has super nice motion with a nice strong tick. The balance bridge and right side plate with its intricate hand filed thru scroll work give the movement an amazing depth perception. Truly a piece of art. The movement is near mint Condition with unbelievably stunning blue screws and a Sharp silver disked index for regulating. Pocket watch measures a nice 52mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs outstanding and keeps great fusee time, last checked it was running +/- 2 or 3 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position…….. But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 229 years ago. Also special care must be taken not to overwind these old museum pieces and always remember to wind counter clockwise.
