Woerd (Woerd’s patent), formerly of the American Waltham Watch Company, and the Nutting Brothers, owners of a watch tool and machinery company in Waltham. Eaton became Treasurer and President of the company respectively. A new factory was constructed, with a planned production of 50 watches per day. The directors of the new company wanted to name the company the Waltham Watch Company, but a suit was filed by the American Waltham Watch Company and the use of the Waltham name was prohibited in 1899. These early watches are called “Dome Watches” because they used a wide mainspring barrel, the top of which was domed upward in the center to accommodate the balance wheel. Movement is running, the original Coin Silver case does show wear, the back cover has several dings and dents, the case measure 54.45mm in diameter, the dial has one hairline and there is a chip at the sub seconds dial. The movement is in an excellent state of preservation, still retaining the original blued plate screws. Over all a very nice original watch.

Scarce 1892 Waltham Vanguard 17 jewel 18 size hunting case model 92 with Serial# 6026644. Dial and hands are in good condition. No chips or hairlines. The watch winds, sets and runs properly. These area very scarce version of the model 92 Vanguards.

VINTAGE POCKET WATCH Brand. ESTATE FIND, RUNS GOOD. 16 size, open face but SWISS MADE, probably for USA & Canadian market. Nice damaskeened finish on movement, shape reminds me of Longines. Movement looks clean, sets good, runs good. Service history unknown, not serviced y us, reliability & accuracy not guaranteed. Fortune 10K gold filled. Slight wear or brassing on sides, near cover & bezel. Front bezel screws good, as for the back cover. Measures about 50 mm wide, by 64 mm tall, including crown, by 15 mm thick. (Roughly 2″ wide by 2.5″ tall by 0.6 thick). This is an acrylic crystal that could be buffed. Tiny scratches as it is, but acceptable. 43.3 mm diameter.
