PATEK PHILLIPE HUNTING CASE CHRONOGRAPH MOVEMENT Ca. A superb quality hunting cased movement that is 43.6mm across the dial. Stem wind, stem set with the chronograph push at the 4:30 position. The white enamel dial is excellent with a small almost invisible age line between the 12 and 1. It’s marked Patek Phillipe & Co. Geneva with a subsidiary second at 6. The movement is also in excellent condition and marked Patek Phillipe & Co. The hands all appear to be original. The watch runs and the chronograph works as it should. We are auctioning this great Patek Philippe Ladies Hunting Case Pocket Watch Movement made for Tiffany & Co. There were many Patek Philippe’private label’ pocket watches that were signed Tiffany & Co. Only because the two companies had agreement for Tiffany to retail exclusively in the US market. This movement uses the patented Patek Philippe detent spring design and all of the features are high grade like other Patek Philippe watches. It also has wolf teeth winding wheels, counterpoised lever fork and solid gold balance screws. Condition-wise the movement DOES NOT RUN and the balance staff is good but gummy. We’ve noticed that the escape fork bridge does not have its pillar screws so that could be another reason the watch does not run. There is also no winding stem. Cosmetically the enamel dial is in fantastic shape with only slight edge flakes that takes the loupe to see. It is missing the hour and seconds hands. Movement surface looks very clean and there is no rust. Return can be made if the item received significantly deviate from the lot description and must be made within 3 days after receiving item. In this listing we are offering a wonderful high quality Patek Philippe Hunting Case Movement for sale. This movement was made around the 1900s by the world famous Patek Philippe & Co for Tiffany & Co. It features top grade features such as wolf teeth winding wheels, counterpoised lever fork, solid gold balance screws, and capped escapement. This was made for a ladies pocket watch retailed by Tiffany & Co thus it only has the Tiffany mark on both the dial and movement. It was customary for Tiffany & Co watches make by Patek Philippe to be missing the Patek Philippe signature. Tiffany labeled Patek Philippe movement has the famous’Curved Center Bridge’ design it is rarely seen to be this small and nevertheless executed to the same fine craftsmanship. Underneath the dial there is a faintly written’PP Co’ writing that confirms the movement is indeed made by Patek Philippe. Condition-wise the movement is NOT RUNNING and we have no way to test its operation/setting since it is missing the winding stem. Pressure applied to the center wheel easily gets the balance swinging freely meaning that the going train is working fine. There is quite a lot of rust on the hour and minute wheels so we are unsure if there is any problem with time setting. Cosmetically the enamel Tiffany dial does not have any hairline or crack but some of the text has faded. The winding stem and minute hand are missing, rest of the movement is complete.
