Some call these salesman sampler cases, but actually jewelers used the cases to show off the different movements, style of hands, and dials you could get with your pocket watch. The crystals are real glass and have some light scratches, needs to be cleaned up, but overall they are in very good condition. The case is marked Illinois Watch Co. The case has scratches and discoloration. It could use a polish. The case diameter is about 2. Good for the professional, beginner, or hobbyist! Illinois 18size, 4oz Sterling silver case Pocket Watch 1896 Fancy Enamel dial. Is in very good condition and running strong. 17 jewels lever set movement #1342528. Fancy porcelain dial with hearlines. Model 6, Grade Bunn. 925/1000 sterling silver case. Running strong keeping time. Very good with fine scratches, and few small dings on the side. [Mint] Item has never been used. Excellent Item is like new with very slight signs of use. Very Good Item have some minor signs of previous used but is in great condition without heavy scratches, wear or mechanical issues, may have some fine surface scratches. Good Item has slight surface scratches or slight wear, but looks great. Fair Item shows scratches or weir that is visible. Poor Item is not in perfect working order or damaged. For Parts or Repairs Item cannot be used as-is. Repair needed or used as parts.

Time Pieces, Parts & More. 1896 Illinois Bunn Special 24 Jewels 18S. 925 Sterlling Silver Case Pocket Watch. This is a stunning example of a Bunn Special 24 Jewels in. 925 sterling silver case. This has to be my favorite 24J Bunn I have owned. Watch is in excellent condition thorughout. Running strong and keeping great time. Case is crisp with sharp and pronounced engravings. The large crown makes winding a pleasure. The dial is free of hairline cracks. A few scratches and a little chip by where the seconds hand mount (these inclusions I can only see with magnification). 1923 Illinois Burlington 16S 21J 107 Railroad Grade Montgomery Dial Train Case. This watch will look better in your hand than it does in the pics. Officially listed in it’s day as’Limited Railroad Grade’, this classification apparently meant it was approved in some states, but not others. This one appears to be all original, though it’s hard to tell, as they were often cased and re-cased through multiple servicing. This one in cased in a rugged,’Emperor’ Star Watch Case Co. Railroad case and looks quite good. The movement is fairly described as’crisp’… It’s signed’Burlington Watch Co. Chicago”Adjusted to Temperature and Positions”Double Roller’ and 21 Jewels’. Serial number is’4188617′, dating it to approx. Screw set jewels and micrometric regulator are some of the finer features. There is some plate ware to the case and normal surface scratches and a small ding or 2, but generally the case is in good shape, with smooth thread on the front bezel allowing easy access to the lever set mechanism. This watch keeps good time, as expected, and winds, sets and runs strong, though I have no idea when it was last serviced. The double sunk porcelain dial has a sub second hand at 6 o’clock and is signed’Burlington’. The dial is in good shape, with only a couple of minor hairline cracks, but no chips and the hands appear original and crisp. It features large Arabic indices and the very desirable Montgomery detailed indices around the perimeter. I’m offering this watch at a BIN price below market, as well as opening it to offers. This is very attractive example of a classic American railroad timepiece… A fine addition to any collect, or a great regular user…. You won’t be disappointed!

It is in very good condition as you can see in the photos. I wound the watch lightly and it has run smoothly and kept time for a couple of hours.
