1911 Elgin Grade 314 12s 15 Jewel Pocket Watch Rolled Gold Plate Hunter Case. 15844400, the case is a Philadelphia Watch Case Co Victory Model with a serial #4752088.. Good condition for its age. There is some plate loss on the inside cover of the case and some minor scratches from age. There is no crystal on the face, it was broken and removed at some point. The watch does wind and work but tends to get stuck until shaken lightly. This watch is an estate find and needs to be serviced. For your consideration we have an Elgin. 15 jewel 16 size. Movement with Illinois dial. This is a hunt pocket watch. Case is 20-year gold filled. Dial is in decent condition little dirty and has decent hands. It is a mismatch to the movement. Case has some slight wear and some very slight scratches and has engine turned engraving. The bow has some discoloration. The front cover does not open well, it needs a new cover spring. It has some discoloring on inside edge that can be cleaned up. Glass crystal is clean and clear. Watch is a pendant. Model 6 grade 152 Estimated year is 1897 run quantity is 1000. Front cover also has some initials engraved. Watch is in running order but do recommend having serviced and cleaned. The bezel and back screw on and off easily. The case was a very worn gold filled case, I polished it down to brass. It is not a factory display case, it was made using an original Illinois Watch Case Co. 10 year gold filled case and the back has been machined to accept a crystal. This has been polished and will tarnish as time goes on. 105 years old in an age when most things are headed to the dump after a year or two [if you are lucky]. Looks and runs great. Elgin 14K 0 Size HC. 0 size 15 jewel hunting case pendant-set pocket watch with an exceptionally beautiful 14K gold hunting case. An absolutely spectacular gold cased lady’s sized watch, its case is by Brooklyn Watch Case Co. And features magnificent fancy engraving detail in superb crisp condition. Front shield of case has initials, and cuvette of case has a 1924 presentation engraving. Dial is a very attractive sunk-seconds enamel fancy style with gold foil decorations and is fronted by a pair of fancy gilt Louis XV style hands. Movement serial number is 15865981. Complete watch weighs 23.0 dwt (35.7 grams). Running and a nice looking movement with good color and luster. Dial is excellent with no flaws in its visible portion.
