Antique Waltham 7J 8s Grade Wm. Ellery Pocket Watch 9k Solid Gold – DAMAGED CASE. Diameter 41.46 mm. Waltham 7 Jewel Grade Wm. Ellery Model 1873 Movement. 9k Solid gold Hunter face case with misleading 18 stamp. This one has been tested as 9k. Single Sunk White Enamel Dial with Roman Numerals. Key Wind / Key Set (Includes Key). Total gross weight of the watch is 59.85 grams. When fully wound and placed on a timegrapher in the dial up position for 1 minute it shows the watch gaining approximately +15 seconds per day. Regulator is almost in slowest position. I would recommend having it serviced to improve its accuracy. DIAL: Hairline and edge chip at 5. Small chip in center of seconds register. Some small surface scratches. CASE: Rear cover with crack near hinge. Rear cover does not stay closed. Several small dings to front and rear covers. Fine scratches to exterior. Cuvette with scratches and marring from case knife openings. CRYSTAL: Good glass crystal. HANDS: Some oxide at tip of minute hand. September 1882 – December 1882. This one is in Very Good Condition NOTE: There are some scratches on the gold case and crystal. This has a 14K Gold Filled hinge back case. Looking inside the case next to the movement you can see it says S. 14K Gold Filled 25 Years, Serial Number #5119191. Overall a really nice 21 Jewel Working Antique Pocket Watch. I have had it running for about a week now and it keeps good time. It has a tinted plastic crystal NOTE. There are some scratches in the crystal nothing serious it still has a clear tinted look. The movement is stamped ILLINOIS Watch Co Springfield 21 Jewels, Adjusted 3 positions, serial # 4223970. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Pocket Watch.
