MASSIVE 62 MM J. FRIED PAIR CASE FUSEE POCKET WATCH. 3/4 to end 1700s. Is in good condition for the age and running. Porcelain dial with small chips on the edges. Missive other case with tortoise shell back measures 62mm across and inner case 55mm. Both cases does not have any markings. Cases appeasers to be silver in combination with brass. Key wind chain movement sign J. Both cases and glass crystal have some signs of normal use, some scratches and small dings. Please see ebays pictures for condition. Beautiful and rare early unsigned 1800′s small French ladies key wind fuzee chain drive verge escapement pocket watch. Case: closed cover blue enamel surrounded with pearls gold pocket watch. Karat gold is generally not marked during this time period. Most likely 16k – 18k. Inside case back serial 13251 is present. Case diameter 31.5 millimeters (very small for the time period). Very nice white enamel dial – key wind through dial. Only small minor surface chips around winding keyhole. Fuzee key wind movement does tick. This is a very nice used watch from a local estate. It is a 12 size Elgin, hunter model, stem wind and set, 7 jewels, serial number 24738642 (dates to 1922). The watch runs strong, but has not been cleaned or serviced. SO I cannot guarantee it to be a completely reliable timekeeper. The porcelain dial is excellent, and has blued steel hands. The gold filled case has ornate designs on both lids. The case has good hinges and case springs, and is not dented or damaged. It has 2 ornate initials on one lid. The case is high quality, marked ILLINOIS WATCH CASE CO. The chain is also gold filled, and it is in excellent condition. A nice watch for the collector, or to carry.
