Pocket Watch Case

Nice mid-XVIII verge fusee pocket watch. Made by Josephson, London and bears serial number 3816. Outer case is made in repousse technique and decorated with classical scene which I cannot identify. The scene is truly remarkable made, with many figures and even animals. Movement is typical verge British movement of mid-XVIII. It features very nice pierced and engraved balance cock with grotesque mask. Square baluster pillars, barrel with worm, tompion regulator with silver regulation disk. It’s signed and numbered. Movement is in working condition. The dial seems to be in nice condition. Minutes hand is not original. Outer case diameter is 50mm, height is 53mm, thickness is 28mm. Weight is 103 grams. Grade 992B, 21 jewels, size 16. Stem wound, lever set. Adjusted to temperature and 6 positions. In a 10k gold filled case. Runs and seems to keep good time. Dial has an edge chip near 8 o’clock. Crystal is excellent, but may be loose. Case has a few light dings, but no brassing. Covers are a little tricky to screw down, but they work. The watch is worn condition, has some scratches on case, worn case, hair line cracks on the dial, missing hand and crystal. The watch should be cleaned and oiled.
