RICHLY ENGRAVED VICTORIAN AMERICAN WALTHAM 14K SOLID GOLD HUNTER CASED POCKET WATCH DATED 1891. 125 Years Old in Mint Condition/Richly Engraved Over All Surfaces with Mountain Cabin Scene/Signed Gilt 3/4 Plate Jeweled Movement/Gold Gears/Substantial 49.9 Grams 14K Solid Gold Investment. Featuring an ultra-rare signed blue enamel, gold leaf and ruby-red rectangular decorative gemstone decorated porcelain dial in mint condition! A stunning 125 year old Victorian American Waltham 14K gold hunter with a signed Waltham gilt 3/4 plate jeweled safety barrel movement in excellent operating condition! Ruby-red rectangular decorative stones mark each of the one hour/5 minute time markers. The “American Waltham” signature appears in script just above the center. Note the fabulous center section with it’s finely detailed hand painted blue enamel center surround replete with gold leaf florals and dots. In addition, gold leaf butterfly designs are seen between each black enamel Arabic numeral. Blue steel spade pointers finish off this spectacular ultra-rare Waltham fine porcelain dial. This is your chance to own an exceptional Victorian stem wind & set 14K solid gold Waltham hunter cased pocket watch in mint condition. With amazing hand engraved 14K yellow gold case and covers! This beautiful antique timepiece has a case diameter of 39mm and weighs a substantial 49.9 grams, about half of which is 14K gold. I mention the gold content for a base value only. I would never destroy a beautiful antique gold pocket watch for the gold content. It is my hope that this watch ends up in the hands of an ardent collector for many years of enjoyment and appreciation! This gorgeous antique Waltham remains in about the same condition as when it was first made, all original with no dings, dents, scratches or repairs. The ultra-rare decorated porcelain dial is mint with zero issues. The 14K gold front cover pops open smartly to 90 degrees when the stem is depressed. All other 14K gold covers also open to exactly 90 degrees and all covers snap tightly shut. The wind is silky smooth and it keeps excellent time. Note the incredible hand chased decorations on this superb example. Each cover features large florals, scrolls and hanging Victorian bell designs that shows no wear after 125 years of use! The rear cover also showcases a mountain cabin scene at it’s center. The entire 14K gold case edge has incredible tiny scroll engravings. Please examine the many photos for a close look. There’s an elegant monogram cartouche bordered by scrolls & florals at the front cover center with a small monogram. All three covers and case are 14K solid yellow gold. The inside rear cover is signed. The inside of the polished 14K gold cuvee is stamped ” 24682 “. All serial numbers match, proving the watch to be all original.
