ESTATE FRESH 1939 BALL-HAMILTON 16 SIZE POCKET WATCH. NEAR PERFECT DIAL -NO HAIRLINES. 51 MM FROM SIDE TO SIDE. WEIGHT IS ABOUT 97 GRAMS. THE CASE IS A BALL 10K FILLED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION: THE FRONT OF THE CASE IN STRONG. AND BACK HAS MINOR WEAR WITH LIGHT SCRATCHES AND A COUPLE OF MINOR DINGS. OVER ALL LOOK VERY NICE. 18 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Bunn Special pocketwatch. Good looking high grade railroad grade watch, this example is from the later end of production as the 18 size Bunn Specials in the 4.4 million serial number range were produced in about 1923 and were the last 18 size railroad grade watches that Illinois made. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial and is housed in a nickel glassback display case that shows off the movement very nicely. Movement serial number is 4432248. Running and a nice looking movement with good color and luster. Balance jewel setting is missing a screw. Dial is excellent with just a small curved hairline near the edge between the 11 minute and 13 minute positions. Case is in good condition with a nice in hand look and feel.
