The Elgin National Watch Company had its birth in 1864, at the time of the US Civil War. In 1874, the company officially changed its name to the Elgin National Watch Company and in 1910 it made its first wrist watch. This Fancy 14 Karat Gold, Size 6 Elgin, Engraved Stag Hunting Case Pocketwatch is in Fabulous Condition inside and out. The dial has Black Roman Numers with Blue Steel Spade Hands which are in excellent condtion. The Model 2, Pendent Set. Movement is a Grade 118, 11 Jewel marked Elgin Nat’l Watch Co. With the serial number. Dating it to 1895. The movement is running and setting properly and keeping excellent time following a complete service last week. The Solid 14 Karat Gold Hunting Case is phenomenal. It is marked A. W. C. Co, Warranted, 14K, U. Assay, 46013 on the inside case back.
