Exceptional Hamilton 992B Railway Special dating from 1949. Bar over crown Model 2 case. Runs well and keeps exact time. Dial appears to be eye clean and craze free, but I have not inspected it with a loop. Gorgeous 21 jewel movement with straight line demaskeening is adjusted to temperature and six positions. Watch is completely original and remains unpolished. Comes in it’s original celluloid cigarette case which is in immaculate condition. Only issue is lever set is stuck, and I do not want to force it. THANK YOU for considering our mirror-image mint and fine condition Illinois First Model “Bunn Special Model” 16 size, open face, Wadsworth 10K yellow gold fill, slot right, screw-back-and-bezel, fancy dress or more likely railroad case! Here’s Illinois’ First Model in superlative condition, with a perfect mirror image reflecting off the wide smooth back, a thick neck, wide, wind-able crown, and distinctively designed layer cake bow! This value-adding and highly prized case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The matching original crown’s fluting is practically like-new in sharpness for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set e. Bunn Special movement will work inside. The bow is also its correct original double stacked design, shows zero brass or damage, and swings loose. The crystal is a thick beveled mineral glass model and clear as still fresh water with no issues. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements. The case does show exceptionally minimal wear, including nothing beyond the most unavoidable superficial scratches, zero marrings or doodlings, zero brass anywhere in its firmament, and certifiably and absolutely no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions.
