16 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set Grade 540 pocket watch. An excellent example of this scarce high grade watch, the total production of the Grade 540 was only 1050 made. This example is marked “RG” to its movement denoting railroad grade. Movement is an attractive 3-finger bridge style with striped damaskeen and with spiral damaskeen winding wheels. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial with script “Rockford” signature, and watch is housed in a 25 year gold-filled Keystone J. Boss case which appears to be likely its original and which has attractive engraving detail. Movement serial number is 546543. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster. Dial is beautiful with only a few negligible glaze scratches. Case is in strong condition with attractive engraving detail showing some mild light wear. Case front opens to slightly short of 90 degrees, case cuvette is engraved with a 1908 presentation and has some scratches from slipped past openings. 12 size 21 jewel hunting case pendant-set A. Lincoln pocket watch movement/dial/hands. A very nicely finished high grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, gold center wheel, and narrow stripe pattern nickel damaskeen. Lincoln is significantly scarcer in this hunting case version than in its open face form. Serial number is 2664960. Fully wound and balance wheel tilts to the side indicating a likely bad balance staff and/or balance jewel(s). Very nice looking movement overall with good color and luster.
