DESCRIPTION : Rockford, grade 68, pocket watch, private label for “Irion & Girardet, Louisville, KY” marked on movement with additional “404 W Market St” marked on dial, 18S, 14K marked solid rose gold Dueber hunter case with gold cuvette, anchor in cameo mark, stem-wind lever-set, white enamel single-sunk dial, lever escapement, 16J, gilt movement, s#331843. Gross weight of assembled watch 92.9 dwt (145.0 g). CONDITION : Runs a bit sluggishly, has not been serviced, timed or tested, excellent movement condition overall, faint clouds may clean off; dial hairline near 4, edge flakes at 5 and 7; excellent hands, missing seconds, post present and fairly straight; case shows light wear, some microfine scratches, small dents and solder repairs along shoulder bevels where some separation of the planchets had occurred, compression to back with other light dings, detail unevenly worn off shoulder bevels with light reduction overall; tight bow, crown shows medium wear and break; now with good glass crystal of proper height, came with crystal that was too thick.
