Exceptional Hamilton 992B Railway Special dating from 1949. Bar over crown Model 2 case. Runs well and keeps exact time. Dial appears to be eye clean and craze free, but I have not inspected it with a loop. Gorgeous 21 jewel movement with straight line demaskeening is adjusted to temperature and six positions. Watch is completely original and remains unpolished. Comes in it’s original celluloid cigarette case which is in immaculate condition. Only issue is lever set is stuck, and I do not want to force it. This is in a white gold solid 14K case. The spring that the stem winds holds a good strong wind. The balance rotates and engages, but is pretty gunked up and moves really slow. It doesn’t run. Looks like someone had it set to run fast in an attempt to get it moving. I suspect that it is over oiled or dirty. Other than that I see no major mechanical issues with the movement.
