1899 Hamilton Pocket Watch – Size 18- 17 Jewels – Heavy Case – Thick Glass Crystal. Most pocket watches are over 100 years old and have over 300 parts. Most are wound with a main spring. These hundred year old springs can break at anytime. Because of their age you must become familiar with their usage, so as not to damage them. I try to identify the specifics of each watch, using the Watch Guide Book, but this can be very difficult, as size and types of metals used are difficult to determine. Number of jewels and type of jewels is not always stated, I will give you my best guess.
