For sale is an antique pocket watch signed K. Constantinople, housed in a silver. 800 case made by B. Serkisoff was a prestigious Constantinople-based importer and retailer of high-quality European watches in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Dial: White enamel dial with Roman numerals, floral decoration, and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. Some minor hairlines and wear consistent with age. Movement: Mechanical key-wind movement, marked B. Lodes, jeweled, appears complete. Runs but not tested for timekeeping. 800 hallmarked case, ornately engraved, hinged back with inner dust cover. Serial numbers: 566827 / 327214. Extras: Includes original antique winding key (marked “6″) and chain. Condition: Watch shows wear consistent with age. The case has tarnish and scratches, dial shows light cracks/hairlines. Movement runs but not tested for timekeeping. The watch does run. But sometimes stops after a while but with a light tap or shake it starts running again. There are some light scratches and small dents on the case. The front lid is dented and ripped some on both sides by the hinge as picture 5 and 6 tries to show. The crystal is cracked. There are some hairline cracks on the dial. The watch is 2 wide.
