Pocket Watch Case

This Goliath Swiss watch is cased in a Cross & Beguelin case. The case measures approx 71 mm with the movement measuring approx 56 mm. Has an exhibition back, matching case and movement serial numbers. I’ve had this running for a couple of days, looks to run and keep time. Vintage Seth Thomas Pocket Watch Illinois Sterling Silver Case READ! This watch does run. The main issue is that the back of the watch is extremely difficult to remove and for that matter attach. I did get it off for the photos but wasn’t able to take it back off again once I replaced it and didn’t want to force it. The front does screw on and off without too much difficulty.
