Ball model case is correct for this watch as is the dial. Dial does show one very light line at 7 minute mark. Crystal is glass and clear. Case snaps together correctly. Up for sale is a rather rare dial Hamilton 18 size pocket watch. The dial is a AK Jobe dial done in the Ball script\style. Jobe was a inspector on the RR. The dial is rather sought after. The movement is a 18s Ball Hamilton 999A 21j. The watch is running but the last service is unknown. The crystal does have some scratches. The dial has a chip at the setting lever and a few fine hairlines with the most noticeable below the seconds chapter at 28. The front and back screw on and are not crossthreaded. This is a very good condition vintage Ball railroad watch. It is 16 size, open face, stem wind, lever set, 21 jewels, Model 1899, Official RR Standard, serial #260032 (Circa 1918). The movement is in good condition and runs strong. It has no signs of rust or over-cleaning. There are a few scratches on the movement plates, but that is all. The porcelain dial is good, with a couple of small, very faint hairlines at the edge. The Ball stirrup bow case is yellow gold filled, and in nice used condition. No monograms or dents. The slightest bit of wear at the edges in places, but it is not very much at all. A very nice, high grade Ball railroad grade watch for the collector, or to carry daily.
