Up for consideration is a nice Antique 1887 Elgin H H Taylor 18s 15j Silverode Case Railroad Pocket Watch – Grade 76. Watch is in nice physical condition for age, normal wear, dial has some crazing and crystal has a noticeable chip along edge (by 2), see photos.. The watch case has a railroad scene on the back which is worn (see photos). Watch currently does not run, but it wants to. It more than likely just needs a cleaning. It will run for a few seconds when you manually rotate the balance wheel, and the second/minute hands do move as time goes on. It does set/adjust/winds as it should (when it runs down a little). My standard listing lingo, please read in its entirety. Any defects not mentioned in the description but are visible in the photos are deemed to have been disclosed. It is not intentional. Any errors noticed, please let me know. As with any vintage item, it may need cleaning/service to run perfectly and increase longevity. No warranties/guarantees expressed or implied on this item. If there is an “or Best Offer, ” it is close to my starting price, so keep this in mind if submitting an offer. No low or half-price offers will be accepted.
