Waltham Vanguard Model 1899 16 Size Exhibition Display Case Pocket Watch ca 1907. This antique Waltham Vanguard model 1899, 16 size, open face pocket watch has a base metal case measuring approximately 51mm in diameter x 2 3/4 inches long including bow. The “salesman” exhibition back display case is in overall good condiiton with minimal wear for it’s age. The white enamel montgomery dial has large black Arabic numerals, a red and black minute track, blue spade/whip hands, a double sunk seconds register at six and is marked “Waltham”. The dial has a hairline near 12 and three with chipping near the register, as pictured. The crystal is in great condition. The movement is stamped Vanguard – Waltham, Mass. 19 Jewels – Adjusted 5 Positions – 16145874. All screws and jewels appear to be in great condition. Stem wind, lever set. This watch is running.
