Up for sale, antique Victorian French gilt brass and beveled glass pocket watch holder display case box, Grand Tour souvenir. The case is lined with cushioned silk. Top of the case has a reversed painting/collage of city square depicting statue on a high pedestal with background building. Bottom portion of the painting is decorated with mother of pearl fragments and printed title possible reads “A’NGERS – Statue de David d’Angers” The image is distorted and not very clear, possibly due to humidity. Rare Silver Masonic case and Dial Pocket watch c1910. This is a Swiss pocket watch with a truly outstanding case and dial. The case has silver assay marks on the inner cover. The watch works well and keeps excellent time. Movement the nickel ¾ plate movement is unsigned and is in 85% mint condition some small scratches. Case the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case is signed Ancre, Lilie The inner cover is decorated with a row of individual miniature medals. The back of the case is decorated with a superb cast case of Masonic imagery, exceptional quality and detail with the words engraved A La Glorie du Grand Architecte de Luniverse. The imagery includes the all seeing eye, the sun, the moon, clasped hands, various occupational images anchor, compass, globe, dividers, books, swords. The case for the most part is in high relief and the photos dont really do this justice and the case is in superb condition. Dial the original and unrestored white enamel dial has individual symbols in lieu of each number. The dial is particularly fine and colourful and the dial is in 100% mint condition.
