This is an extremely nice Hamilton 950B 23 jewel with the very popular model A case and factory box. If you are looking for a choice 950B for your collection, this is it. The movement is flawless, no screws look like they have hardly been touched. There is only one repair date in the back cover. The case is a Hamilton 10K gold filled model A case with some light scratches on the back. Yes the bow is stiff. The traditional 950 dial and baton hands are likewise in excellent condition. This is a Hamilton 992B in excellent condition. It is housed in a Hamilton flying eye case. I believe the case to be original to the watch but can not prove it with provenance. The case is in excellent condition with no wear through and only minor wear as expected for a vintage watch. The serial number of the movement is C68273 which places it at built in 1942. The movement was recently serviced by an expert watchmaker who specializes in Hamilton pocket watches. Winds easily and fully and starts running with just a few winds of the crown. I can not guaranty the accuracy of the movement but it has always and is still keeping perfect time. The only flaw is the dial has a hairline crack in the enamel at 11 o’clock is about 1 inch long but it is on the surface and the dial is 100% intact. Please see my picture and decide for yourself.
