Description : Large and in heavy quality made, Pair case pocket watch with verge escapement and alarm made by the French watchmaker Honoré Lieutaud, Marseille around 1780. Both cases made of brass. At the rear and at the edge enamelled outer case. Inner case fire gilt with sound slots. Both case in excellent condition. Glass in very good condition, undamaged. Enamelled dial with Roman hour, Arabic minute, and the brand of the watchmaker. Dial in very good condition (2mm hairline crack at the II, 1mm chip on the IIII). Three hands, alarm hand is made of steel and blued. Setting the alarm by moving the iron hand. Removable, engraved dust cover. Very nice full plate movement. Fine, pierced balance cock. Verge escapement with fuse and chain. Movement with the watchmaker´s brand and serial number 1080. This is repeated on the dust cover and on the ring under the dial. Emailliertes Zifferblatt mit römischer Stunde und arabischer Minute, sowie der Marke des Uhrmachers. Zifferblatt in sehr schönem Zustand (2mm Haarriss an der II, 1mm Chip an der IIII). Drei Zeiger, Weckerzeiger gebläut. Stellen des Weckers durch bewegen des Eisenzeigers. Fein, durchbrochen gearbeiteter Unruhkloben. Spindelhemmung mit Kette und Schnecke.
