Tiffany & Co Pocket Watch. Movement by Patek Philippe. This pocket watch is in excellent condition. The movement is fully functional and the hinged covers open/close and snap properly into place. The enamel dial appears to be in excellent condition although there is some lint and debris that we have not attempted to clean. Please note that although the dial appears to have no imperfections we can’t be certain unless the debris is removed from under the crystal and frankly we’d rather not get into opening the watch and attempting to clean it lest we damage it. The watch features a third, hinged cover which allows for the exhibition of the movement through an acrylic crystal. The front cover is monogrammed with the initials “LK”. The watch measures approx 41mm in diameter and has a size 15 ligne movement with lever escapement and a seconds subdial. The serial number is engraved on both the case and movement and is doubly signed by Tiffany & Co. A Patek Philippe “Extract from the Archives” accompanies this watch. This watch has come to us directly from the estate of it’s original owner and is the first time it’s being offered for sale to dealers, collectors, and the general public. We do not know the service history. We have found it to keep time well enough (variance of a couple of minutes a day) to sell as-is and it runs for about a day on a full wind although no warranties are implied. Servicing of the movement is recommended for optimal performance. Our potential buyers are more knowledgeable than us when it comes to pocket watches.
