A spectacular Hamilton railroad watch, early 992 model. 16 size, open face, lever set with a beautiful and rarely seen enamel Montgomery dial. This 992 is unique for a few reasons: 1 The front plate has 4 insertion holes and needs a 4 footed Hamilton dial. I have taken pictures of both front plate and dial to show the set up to advanced Hamilton RR watches collectors. 3 the gold bezel is uniquely artistic, quite beautiful , with deep & enchanting engravings. Total weight movement and case is 62.4 pennyweights but I doubt this piece will ever see gold melters The watch runs well & keeps good time. It has not been recently serviced. In summary a unique possibly one of a kind Hamilton 992 with original swing out solid gold case, 4 footed Montgomery dial & a front plate with 4 openings for those dial feet. 4 We appreciate our loyal customers.
