Up for sale is a rare and unusual antique Swiss key wind pocket chronometer. It is all original apart from the case, and was made in the 1800s by H. Mathey Peylieu of Locle, Switzerland. It measures 51mm in diameter and has an amazing 19 jewel movement with rare pivoted detent escapement. It was recently serviced to run and keep very good time. Serviced: This watch was fully serviced on November 10th, 2017. It was fully disassembled, all parts cleaned and oiled, and a new unbreakable main spring was installed. It was then adjusted to keep very good time. Movement : This watch runs great and keeps very good time. The beautiful original key wind movement is in excellent condition, and has 19 jewels and a rare pivoted detent escapement. It has lovely rubies, gold jewel caps and gold balance weights! A key will be included. Dial : The original dial is in excellent condition with just some small hairlines. Case : The fine silver case is not the original but was made specially for this watch and is in very good condition. The covers work as they should.
