This scarce pocket watch is in excellent running condition and the movement is absolutely stunning as you can see! The movement has the “nail set” mechanism. To set the hands, you press the lever in towards the movement, (it moves only about a millemeter) and set hands with the crown. When finished, press the crown button to release it and then the movement can be would. Note; “The dial and hands are no doubt by A Lange & Sohne” which would be a collaboration. The dial is beautiful and it is flawless! The crystal has a crack. The 14k gold case is in good condition with regular wear including some minor bumps or unevenness on the covers. Case measures 52mm and total weight is 94.3 grams. Comes with its original leather box from retailers Kettell & Blake of Boston which is in very good condition. Union 0,585-14K Solid Gold Open Face Case + Original Box – No Reserve!! Offered for sale is this beautiful solid gold pocket watch from’Alpina Union Horlogère S. The company was founded in 1883 by Gottlieb Hauser, a watchmaker in Winterthur who founded the Swiss Watchmakers Corporation (“Union Horlogère Suisse”). It is currently owned by Frederique Constant SA. As in the pictures, used with age related issues. Used, but very clean. The watch is in good working condition, running STRONG and keeping excellent time. This is a pretty rare and high value watch. A one-time only collector find! As usually there is not a reserved price. YOU WILL DECIDE THE CORRECT PRICE! Stem wind and pin set, marked Union. All functions are working properly. Winding ok, time setting ok.
