Couple of spots on on the winding wheel and also on regulator spring… Gilt movement and jewel screws… Fully marked including Dbl Roller.. Balance has good motion and is true in the flat… No idea when it was last serviced… Gold colored dial signed and with Arabic numerals.. Bit and a nice set of Open Moon hands…. 25 Year gold filled Santa Fe Watch Co case.. Covers screw on and the threads are very good.. Crown has a some smoothing… The watch comes with a chain, appears to be very period.. A very interesting and most important large triple case Doctors watch in mint condition under painted horn case watch. MADE BY JOHN WARD LONDON. PLEASE DO TAKE TIME TO READ THE FULL LISTING AND DO ENLARGE THE PHOTOGRAPHS TO GET A BETTER LOOK. The size of the outer UNDER PAINTED HORN case is 61 m. In MINT condition with a great colour and nice shine you can even see the reflection of me. ALL the pins are in place.. UNDER PAINTED HORN WAS A TECHNIQUE USED ON VERY EXPENSIVE WATCHES , AND WAS SIMILAR TO GLASS MINIATURES AND THE WORK WAS EXECUTED BY THE SAME ARTISTS. The second case is in very good condition with a very nice watch makers paper to round it off. The inner case with the watch size is 48 m. All the hinges work well on the cases. The dial is in very good condition. Very very fine original black hands. The glass is very high clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well. C + OR- 2- 3 minutes per hour. To stop the watch there is a slider by 10 move it up or down to stop and start. With a very very fine decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator. Signed on the back plate Jn WARD. The watch will come with a key. JOHN WARD IS WELL LISTED.
