Antique Verge Fusee Triple Case Edward Prior Pocket Watch Painted Enamel-Ottoman. The watch is made by the most famost watch master of that era-Edward Prior, London-the son of George Prior. The Prior family was the official watch master to the Ottoman Sultan’s Court. The middle case is hand engraved silver depicting the Ottoman coat of arms. Rare 1750s British LONDO/CHARLES CABRIER 18K Gold Triple Case Verge Fusee Pocket Watch. This gorgeous piece was made in England around 1750 and features masterfully executed pierce work and engravings. The chimes work when the pin is pushed down and the movement winds up. However, the watch doesn’t seem to work and will probably need servicing. The watch case and second case are made from 18K solid gold. The third case is brass and an unknown material. Measures 2 1/8 in diameter (outer case) and weighs 105.4 grams. Marked “LONDO” on the dial and the back of the case. Movement engraved “CABRIER LONDON”. Fire gilt verge movement, small Egyptian pillars with pierced galleries above. Fusee and chain, pierced and engraved cock. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc with Turkish markings. Signed white enamel dial, Turkish numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Matching silver pair cases, the bezel of the outer decoratively engraved. Silver pendant and bow, makers mark “WCS” in a rectangle. Third protective case covered in tortoiseshell and decorated with silver pique pins, engraved silver bezels. This18S Dueber watch case in great shape. The hinges are tight and the catches are very tight. It is a heavy duty case weighing 91 grams. Has a tight bow and closes tightly leaving no gaps. The NOS crystal has a few chips and the back cover has 1 small dent but the chrome has held up remarkably well for being 100+ years old.
