Very Rare, 1905, Hampden, 16 size, “Electric Railway Standard”, Open Face, 17 Jewel Pocket Watch. The movement it’s self is a Grade 107 [NAWCC-149 Data Base has only 830 of this variation made]. Running strong but not checked for accuracy. The Case is a Keystone Watch Case Co. 10K, Gold Filled, Screw Back & Bezel case, w/ a new crystal. The pictures of the movement might give one to believe that there is some rust on the Regulator Arm but this is only light reflection & the Arm & Movement are quite clean. The Dueber-Hampden Watch Co. Seems to have’toyed’ with the idea of entering the Streetcar & Interurban electric railway market but gave up on the idea, hence very few of these variants were made. Ball by Hamilton Grade 999P Official Standard railroad grade movement, circa. 1927, 16 size, open face, 21 jewels, adjusted temperature and positions, double roller, Model One, Grade 999P, cupped gold jewel settings, gold center wheel, all gold balance screws, ¾ nickel plate, stem wind, lever set railroad-grade beauty. This watch is triple signed; dial, movement and case. The signed Ball Official RR Standard Keystone 14KT White Gold Filled watch case is apparently original to the movement with no additional mounting screw marks noted. The beautiful Box Car dial has one crack from the seconds bit to the 43 minute mark. Of course the movement is running strong, but could use a good cleaning/oiling. RARE BALL OFFICIAL STANDARD 999P 2 Two Time Zone POCKET WATCH. Watch is running, the dial is very clean, the white 14K Gold case has some surface scratches and a small sing in the back. The crystal (Glass) is loose, I actually did it trying to remove the front bezel to set the time. I can’t undo it with my hands. I don’t wish to do any more damage so I have left it as it is.
