A very interesting and most important silver case watch. With a champleve dial, repousse working on the outer case, with day date SQUARE PILLARS, verge, fusee movement. MADE BY JAMES WHIYE. With a nice watchmakers paper to round it off. Note outer cases were never hallmarked. The inner silver case with the watch size is 42 m. This case is hallmarked London C 1769. That is hard to read. All the hinges work well on the cases. The Champleve dial in very nice condition, with all the gold pip in place, with the makers name WHITE. With date aperture that is working. The dial is very interesting set with a repousse cherub set on a blue back ground. The glass is very high bull nose clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well C + or – 2-3 minutes per hour. With a very very fine decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator SQUARE PILLARS. Signed on the back plate Ja White LONDON. The watch will come with a key. JAMES WHITE IS A VERY IMPORTANT MAKER WELL LISTED. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it.
