For sale is a triple cases tombac material (gold, mercury and brass) covered tortoise shell edward prior verge fusee pocket watch. The watch has been manufactured by Edward Prior watchmaster who is the brother of George Prior. The dial is an ottoman style and in perfect condition. There is no hans on the dial but can be fixed as the main shaft is exsiting and not broken. The 3rd case had been covered with a tortoise shell and it is in perfect condition. There are some of dents on it but this is also a proof of its originality. The shell is not fake or polyester. All the parts are existing in mechanism and needs servicing. The watch HAS JUST BEEN SERVICED keeping nice time aprox + or- 2 minuets per hour. With a very fine engraved balance cock a silver Tompion regulator, great PRIOR pillars. The watch will come with a nice old key. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it.
