Model 5 992B 16s Hamilton Railway Special 21j RR Pocket Watch Stainless Case. This watch has very little wear and runs well. I didn’t check it for accuracy but I had it run for one hour and it appeared very accurate. (within a minute or so) I’m not a watch expert but this watch is in excellent condition. Double Sunk 3pc Montgomery Style Porcelain Glass Enamel Dial. Blued Finished Whip Style Hands. Gold Filled Cross Bar Model Case. 50.15mm in Diameter(not including bow or crown). This watch comes to you completely torn down, ultrasonically cleaned, oiled and greased(using the finest Moebius oils and grease available)re-assembled and adjusted and running strong, keeping accurate time. The porcelain glass enamel dial is near perfect and the blued finished hands are bright and shiny. The yellow gold filled Cross Bar model case has a polished finsh and has a couple of small deeper scratches and 1 very small dent on the back cover. The bow is loose and does not hold position. The domed beveled mineral glass crystal is clean and clear. Overall, this is a very nice pocket watch with a very rare highly damaskeened 990 grade movement with the right dial and the right case. This is a very nice vintage Hamilton. It is 16 size, open face, stem wind, lever set, 21 jewel, grade 992B. Serial #C396577 dates it to 1953. The movement is very good and runs well. I have not had it cleaned or serviced, so I cannot guarantee it to be completely reliable. The yellow gold filled case is plain, and has no brassing or monograms. It is high quality, and made by Keystone. A nice watch for a gift, or for the collector. 18 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set Grade 941 Special pocket watch movement/dial/hands. A rare and beautiful movement featuring a terrific 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen finish and marked “Special” to its barrel bridge, this example is notable for the superb preservation of its 2-tone color. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial with script Hamilton Watch Co. Running but balance motion is sluggish and I think likely this movement hasn’t seen any type of servicing in quite some time. Absolutely beautiful movement cosmetically with superb 2-tone color. Regulator assembly has some mild small bits of oxide, and barrel bridge has some marks to its inner perimeter adjacent the regulator adjustment screw. Dial faces up well though with some perimeter scrape between about the 43 minute and the 59 minute positions which was likely cased by the rubbing of a case bezel at one time. Excellent Black Steel hands, the crystal is nice and clear with light pocket scratches, housed in a beautiful Hamilton BOC 10K Gold Filled Case. Both covers glide on-off nicely. It Has a beautiful clean sparkling movement, it is lever set, adjust to 6 positions, and yes Adjusts to Temperature. Nice double sunk Hamilton dial with big numbers, The Dial is showing a very faint hairline from the center arbor toward the second counters and a pinhead chip at the bottom of the 12 marker, nothing major. Excellent Black Steel hands, the crystal is showing some light scratches, housed in a beautiful Wadsworth 10K Gold Filled BOC Case. Both covers glide on-off nicely. (The case has your normal pocket scratches and a slight dent which is extremely hard to see not unless reflecting it against the light) Nice crown and bow, No Brass is showing this is a nice case.
