Very fine, rare and important, open face Staybrite keyless pocket chronometer, one of a series of 300 pieces made circa 1925. Open Faced, Staybrite Lepine case , gold hinged cuvette and gold Opener on Brezel and back lid. Inside the backlid, engraved Omega Acier Staybrite, 5983641. The case is in perfekt, probaly unworn condition. Dial : Two-tone silver with arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, painted Omega name and sign in black and the words “Chronomètre” in red at 12 o’clock. Original blued steel hands. The dial and hands are very nice condition. 43.15 L (Lepine) 19´´´ Grade Very Best, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 23 jewels, most in screwed gold chatons, safety pinion, bimetallic cut compensation balance, adjusted to 6 positions and temperatures, blued steel Breguet balance spring, eccentric cam micrometer regulator, gold wheel train. BEST ORNATE SOLID 14K 18S FULL HUNTER CASE AMERICAN WALTHAM POCKET WATCH Here we are offering a truly stunning American Waltham full hunter pocket watch. 18S, serial number 10459189, produced in 1901, stem wind, lever set, 15 jewel movement. As beautiful as the engine turned decoration is on this movement, it is the solid 14K gold case that is the stand-out. It is comprised of a combination of yellow and rose gold decoration with a flower basket on one side and a vacant cartouche on the other. Other regions are all profusely engraved with tight scrolling designs. The hinge area and shoulders are beefy and impressive, which really balances out the overall appearance. The front cover springs open as it should when the crown is depressed. Please note that although the case is solid 14K, the bow and possibly the winding crown are plated. Also note that the porcelain face does have several tight hairline cracks that appear stable and show no evidence of chipping or loss. This is a visually stunning timepiece that is in excellent working order and keeps great time. As soon as you begin twisting the crown the balance wheel immediately comes to life.
