Heavy attractive 6 Size Multicolored Case With mine cut Diamond. A very attractive Elgin Hunter Case Pocket Watch. A very nice condition multicolored ladies 6 size Elgin Pocket Watch. Case has nice multi color that is still very sharp in multiple colors of raised gold on case. Case has a fairly good-sized I believe mine cut diamond on the back. Case is a 20 year Philadelphia Watch case company case and opens and closes well case has no brass and is in nice shape. Movement is a 15 Jewel Elgin that runs great but does not want to set so will need some servicing. Nice porcelain dial has a faint hairline. Nicely Damaskeening Nickel Movement. Signed white enamel dial with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, and blue steel hands. The movement; 3/4 plate numbered with large diamond end stone. It’s unusually highly jeweled for an English watch. The movement is signed Le Cheminant Wimpole St London. This watchmaker is well known for having made very high quality timepieces including chronometers and deck watches for the Royal Navy. Please see this link for some information on the maker. Its very much like the H3 deck watches that where used and I think its the Mathey Tissot version which was bought by the British Royal Navy its just not been issed and marked up yet.
