Beautiful Mint Condition solid and super clean English made by John Pearson of Louth, Serial no. 5771 Silver pair cased verge fusee. Sharp Solid sterling silver case is Silver hall marked (A) of London assay. Beautiful near mint condition, off white colored porcelain dial with nice Bold Roman numerals and beautiful matching solid Gold colored hands. Absolutely spotless high domed crystal. All case covers open, close and fit perfect together with nice and tight hinges. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. Balance has an unbelievably outstanding motion. The balance bridge is beautiful With its unique face and ornate scroll work. The movement is super clean (almost pristine) with bright blue screws and uniquely shaped push arrow index for regulating. The watch measures approx. 57mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs outstanding and keeps great fusee time, last checked about +/- 1 or 2 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position…….. But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 180 years ago. Also special care must be taken not to overwind these old museum pieces and always remember to wind counter clockwise. Inside the case is an old watch makers paper from New Jersey, U. Watch is listed in the Watch and Clock makers of the world as Pearson, John, Louth (Linc’s) 1829 – 76. Watch comes with a sharp watch makers key for winding. Near Mint condition 16 size 23 Jewel Waltham Vanguard Wind Indicator pocket watch in an unbelievable Gold filled case. Outstanding mint condition White porcelain dial with bold black numbers and large Super brilliant Blue colored hands. The only flaw is a tiny flea nick near the lever, totally undistracting. Front and rear covers screw on and off flawlessly. This case also has an extra special rear dust cover to keep the movement super clean, that snaps on and off perfectly. The front glass crystal is near spotless. The movement is gleaming and super clean and in my opinion mint in condition. The Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewel movement serial number 19062815 dates to 1913. The 16 size model 1908 Rail Road Grade Double Roller adjusted to (5) Positions has unbelievably Brilliant Gold Jeweled settings. The movement also has beautiful demaskeening and spotless winding wheels with a Gold train and Lossier hairspring. The lever set Pocket watch, sets and runs outstanding with all pivots lightly oiled and the balance with beautiful super motion, which has been keeping outstanding time. The wind indicator works flawlessly, showing the power reserve. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. The Bull Dog style case is amazing. The rear double case covers are both marked “Security 10 Karat Gold Filled Rail Road Model”. This case is minty and super solid with just moderate use and absolutely no brassing or wear thru to be found. The bow is nice and stiff. Here’s Illinois’ First Model Bunn Special case, with the wide, smooth and mirrory back, the vivid heavy milling engraved pattern at the edges, a thick neck, wide, wind-able crown, and distinctively designed layer-cake bow! This much sought after and highly prized, high-value case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads and the crystal ledge so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The matching original crown’s fluting is super sharp and crisp still for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set e. Bunn Special movement will work inside. The bow is also its correct layer-cake matching original, shows very faint interior brass only but no damage, and swings loose. The crystal is missing and will need to be replaced. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements.
