At the 1936 Berlin Olympics, weightlifting competitors and medalists received custom Swiss-made award and commemorative pocket watches featuring distinct weightlifting motifs hand-painted or engraved right on the dial. Features of the 1936 Weightlifting Award Watches. Custom Weightlifting Dials: The versions presented to weightlifters featured a detailed illustration of an athlete mid-lift alongside the official 1936 Olympic bell or rings logo.
