Please view all pictures as they are considered to be part of the description. Tompion London Chain Drive Verge Pair Case sterling 59mm Pocket Watch offered for parts or restoration. Chain is disconnected from the fusee as shown – not sure of it’s condition and the balance wobbles. Would be a great watch once restored. Stunning pierced and engraved balance cock as shown. The outer case is clearly marked but the inner case is hard to make out but they are original to each other – date marks match. Case Material– Sterling silver hallamrked. Movement Type–Manual Wind – Chain drive fusee – Verge escapement. Dial Condition– Nice for it’s age with original hands. Case Condition– Not bad for 200 years old with some age and use imperfections as shown – silght dings etc. Case Size– Outer case approx. Special Features –A rare find! Please be advised that we have no service record of any of the watches (unless noted above) from these estates and that cleaning, oiling and general servicing is recommended and more than likely required. Please be advised that any watch with a screw back will not be tightened completely and a new or replacement gasket will be needed. Any snap back type will be closed but a gasket will also be needed. These tasks will need to be done by the customer. These are estate items and are being offered in as-found condition.
