Antique Elgin Gold Filled Hunting Case Pocket Watch C3987. Here is a nice-looking gold-filled pocket watch from 1904, serial #10593423. This watch movement is a 7 jewel 6s size watch movement in a beautiful 16-size gold-filled Victorian style hunting case. There is a liner inside the watchcase that allows different size movements to be used in this case. The watchcase is 46 millimeter or just over 1 3 /4 inches across the front of the watch. This is a 20-year gold filled hunting case that has 3 hinged openings with the stem position being at 3 o’clock. This watch shows lite use. All 3 openings are nice and tight which they should be for a watch that was carried but not opened much. The front dial cover does not close like it should so you will want to get that fixed and have the watch serviced. The mechanical (winding type) (120) year old watch winds continuously, tries to run for a little then stops. So, the watch does not run.
