Monitor 18-Size Open-Face Gold-Filled Antique Pocket Watch Case. This case measures approximately 54 mm across and 66.5 mm in total length including the crown. The bow is missing and it is notched for a lever – see photos. The inside of the case back is signed “MONITOR 14K 2985774″ – see photos. All covers open and close as they should; the crystal is in good used condition – see photos. Very good vintage condition with normal wear; the case back looks as though it might be from a different case – see photos. Both Front and Back Covers are screw-on. Both crystal are glass. When you put your movement into this case, first pull the crown, so the stem will be up position. Put the movement in gently, push the crown back in and wind the watch. Pull the crown and set the time. NOTE: This case will not fit movements with lever set or with stem inside the movement. Beautifully detailed case with raised floral design with a bird in yellow white and rose gold both on the front and the back of the case. A gorgeous antique watch waiting to be restored to its original beauty! The case is in excellent condition. Fahy’s gold filled watch cases are known for having a thick coating of solid gold over a base metal giving the impression of being a solid gold case. Both the front and back on and close securely. Inside of case is hallmarked Fahy’s with the Caduceus symbol and the numbers 7119918. Watch is missing the crystal and does not run. A few small scuffs on the face.
