Superb 1798 Sterling Silver Pair Cased Verge Fusee Pocket Watch. Signed John Bent of Liverpool. English Sterling Silver Pair cases are hall marked with the letter “a” 1798, The Lion for Sterling. 925, the Anchor for Birmingham. White porcelain dial with Gold hands. Dial is almost perfect without any visible hairlines. The hands are gold and perfect. High Domed Bulls Eye crystal clear and unblemished. All Case Covers open, close and fit together with nice hinges and push Button. Key wind and key set with key included. The Movement sounds good with a nice tick. The balance bridge is superb with scroll work and nice detail. Serial number is 182. The outer case is 59mm. The inner case is 46mm. The watch runs well for 223 years of age. Not perfect but good fusee time[+ or -]. Adjustments can be made. Watch is outstanding for the low starting price. Will include protective pouch.
