The 16-size silver color No. 1103 open face case is coin silver with an embossed cricket. This fancy off-white porcelain dial features Roman numerals and Breguet hands. The 10-jewel pin-set, No. 1103 lever escapement movement is gilt, full plate and is unsigned. (The case is in perfect condition). (The dial is in perfect condition, hairline). RARE Antique Hallmarked Gold Longines Memento Mori Pocket Watch with FREE Case

For sale is a hallmarked gold memento mori pocket watch. It is in fine condition and is still in working order. A smart leather case is included for FREE. Most likely a watch made for those in the medical profession, this skulls head memento mori watch would have served as a reminder of wisdom of Ecclesiastes as well as an exhortation to continue the difficult and spiritually challenging, but good and necessary, work of doctors and healers the world over. It is a beautiful piece bought as a reminder during the decline and ultimate passing of a close relative that has served its purpose. Hopefully it will go to a new owner that can gain similar strength from it or, at the very least, a collector who will care for it. As is expected with an item of this age, there are minor cosmetic blemishes. However, most of which are on interior of the case and are particularly minor. The picture detail the condition well and I would still rate the piece as Im very good / fine condition. All reasonable offers will be entertained.
